Reminisces

Today we watched a short documentary with the 2nd years.
It detailed the history of Walt Disney’s ‘Lady and the Tramp’.

I learnt that Disney took a few decades to create and produce
the story.
Mainly because of the charming appeal Lady had.
They concluded there was nothing more they could make of her
story.
Originally what inspired Lady and the Tramp was Walt’s own
happenings in life.
For instance the way he presented a gift, a puppy in a hat
box, for his wife.
It was decided this would too play a scene in Lady and the
Tramp.

Aside from Disney’s efforts in the movie, two others
contributed ideas to the story.
They are: Joe Grant, and Ward Green.

Joe Grant was someone Walt would always talk to about ideas.
He was often a great help to Walt Disney. Ward Green on the
other hand was a writer for the ‘Cosmopolitan’. A literature
magazine. It was reading this magazine, Ward’s story ‘Happy
Dan the Cynical Dog’ that the character ‘Tramp’ was made
bringing Lady back to life.

The year, finally where it was made, was during 1955.

I really reallllyyy enjoyed Lady in the Tramp as a youngen,
It was a part of the collection of Disney vhs we had.
I’m really happy that I got to see this.
Or else I wouldn’t have had any idea...
